Narrative description of the project

IDEA was hired by the Government of Panama (Ministry of Economy and Finance) to design a training program in Investment Project Management in order to improve project design, planning and monitoring as well as budget execution. The program included the following different levels aiming to strengthen or develop the technical skills and knowledge of the distinct resources involved in the Public Investments strategy and project implementation:
Basic level:

  • Formulation and use of Logic Frameworks; 2) Target definition and use of result indicators; 3) Result Indicators Matrix; 4) Reports elaboration; and 5) Informatics tools.

    • Intermediate level:

  • Cost Benefit analysis; 2) Planning and Budgeting for Results; 3) Monitoring of execution; 4) Risk management; 5) Formulation and prioritization of investment projects.

    • Advanced level (Master Certificate guaranteed by Laval University):

  • International Certificate in M&E and Information Systems; and, 2) International Certificate in Project Cycle.
