Narrative description of the project

The Federal Republic of Ethiopia through the Ministry of Agriculture received funding for the Participatory Small-Scale Irrigation Development Programme (PASIDP) through IFAD for a seven year programme. The programme aims to reform small-scale irrigation development approaches and practices in Ethiopia, and thereby improve food security, family nutrition and incomes for poor rural households in four states of Ethiopia. As part of the capacity building plan for the programme, a-three week training was proposed on Results-based Project Management in financial management and procurement for donor funded projects to be conducted for project coordinators, financial and procurement officers. It is in this context that the Institute undertook a tailor-made training advanced financial management and procurement for donor funded projects.
