Narrative description of the project

The École Nationale des Régies Financières and IDEA International Institute are internationally recognized institutions offering training and capacity-building services in the area of public finance management. ENAREF’s mission is to train future public administration executives from Burkina Faso and provide ongoing capacity building for the public sector in this area. IDEA International Institute enjoys international renown in the area of capacity building and providing support for governments as they implement public sector reforms, especially with respect to results-based management, governance, and public-program and public-finance management. Both institutions stand out for their specific expertise and their ability to present complementary North American and African approaches to public finance management.
The parties intend to jointly develop and implement a short capacity-building training program with diploma recognition concerning the public procurement management cycle for public administration executives from Burkina Faso and the nations of the sub-region. The objective of the partnership is to help strengthen and accelerate reforms in the area of public finance management undertaken by Burkina Faso and governments from the sub-region.
