Strategic partnership with the National School of Administration (ENA) in Niger
For more than two years, IDEA International has been supporting the strengthening of initial training and continuing training for managers and agents of the Nigerien administration, the National School of Administration (ENA, acronym in French) and the Faculty of Economics and of Management (FSEG, acronym in French) of Niger. As part of this project initiated in 2017, IDEA has trained and certified several thousand of civil servants, in addition to accrediting more than 60 national trainers in the fields of new public management. To ensure the sustainability of this collaboration, the National School of Administration (ENA, French acronym) and IDEA International signed a five (5) year partnership agreement in 2019 which will allow the training of Nigerien administration officials to continue, while consolidate certain achievements. Currently, the Higher University Certifications program jointly with Laval University will be offering in face-to-face mode with the (ENA, French acronym) from January 2021. In addition, to increase accessibility to training programs, two initiatives will be implemented. works in parallel within the framework from 2021. The first appoints to the the support of the Center de Formation des Collectivités Territoriales (CFCT, French acronym) for the development and consolidation of its training offer for Local Authorities. The second targets the development and operationalization of online training within the (ENA, French acronym). In this context, a distance training platform will be developed, and (ENA, French acronym) teaching staff will be trained in facilitating online training. In addition, (ENA, French acronym) and IDEA wish to consolidate in 2021 the implementation of the management and monitoring system for initial and continuing training programs that have been implemented since January 2020.
